Yup, they’re up there. They’re a light bluish grey green. Mum worked like a little slave over about three days. I did a chunk of the sewing and a lot of the deliberating and problem solving but it was really Mum’s show. The tracks were a bit of an intelligence test. I’m not sure we’re all that intelligent. Not in a curtain-track way, anyway.
There’s one window left, waiting for more fabric (its name is “granit”) to arrive at Spotlight. I’ll be on my own for that one.
Oh yeah, we (Mum, Steve and I) watched Sunshine Cleaning on Saturday night and enjoyed it. Lovely to watch a film that was intelligent but not too taxing after a hard day’s curtain-making. Mum, inevitably, said: “It’s not the sort of thing I could get your father to watch.” We ate stuffed Armenian cabbage for dinner as we watched. Mum said: “It’s not the sort of thing I could get your father to eat.”
