Green shopping bags

Green bags
South Australia has banned the lightweight plastic shopping bag. We still get them at the checkout here, but I’m sure their days are numbered. When I’m good I remember to take these bags (pictured), or the even earthier calico bags I have hanging over doorknobs. But when I’m bad I “nip in” to the shops and end up with naughty bags. We use the naughty bags as bin liners. I may have raised this before – but the bin liner question is a real question. I have a house full of newspapers because I subscribe, so I could use biodegradable newspaper to line my bin. Or maybe nothing. Maybe it’s okay to throw naked garbage into the wheelie bin.
